International Senior teacher (RYT1200) Gil is a former athlete. He travels around the world with his teaching skills training professional athletes and educates teachers. He has been practicing Sports, (Iyengar, Ashtanga, Hatha & Yin) yoga & meditation for more than 20 years.

He is practicing his sports, yoga and meditation from an early age in life and started his practice with iyengar teacher Charles de Hond (Who past away in 2010). After Gil had a car accident he couldn’t move anymore, Lost his short term memory and was living in excruciating pains for more than a year. It turned his life around, Yoga saved his life, He quit his job as an interim manager, And this was the start of his dedication to the practice of the yoga & Mind lifestyle.

Gil teaches a functional approach to understand the body in Yoga. An aesthetic approach to yoga focuses on how a pose looks, or worse, how it is “supposed” to look! A functional approach to yoga first determines what part of your body the pose was intended to exercise and then adapts the archetype to everyone’s unique skeleton. The result is less pain, less frustration, and a yoga practice that is completely your own, and develope a body that feels Fit Flexibel Mobile and Strong.

Gil Works as an Movement Therapist & Neuroplasticity Coach in his own practice giving consults. He also Teaches Retraites, Advanced Studies in Mind development and Advanced Anatomy in Yoga teachers trainings for Yoga Academy Rotterdam.

He has been teaching for more than 12 years to more than  10.000 students around the world. And combines the traditions of the east with the science of the west and is very passionate about his work and students to help them develop gain control over their body and mind.
